John W. Losey

John W. Losey, 64 of Glouster passed away Friday October 12, 2018 at the O.S.U. Medical Center, Columbus.  Born April 29, 1954 in Glouster, he was the son of the late Phillip and Deloris Wolfe Losey.  John was an electrician by trade, working for several companies including, Claypool Electric in Lancaster, Davis-Pickering Electric in West Virginia, and the Rural Appalachian Housing Development in Glouster.  He was an artist, song writer, and enjoyed showing coon dogs, coon hunting, and trapping.  

He is survived by his wife, Betty “Francie” Smith Losey of Glouster; three sons, Nathan Losey of Glouster, J.J. (April) Losey of Tallahassee, FL, and Jason Losey of Florida; three daughters, McKale Losey of Glouster, Jessica Losey and Vanessa Losey, both of Florida; five grandchildren; five sisters, Patricia Spears, Phyllis (Joe Tivner) Smith, Mae Losey, Kathleen Losey, and Mary Ellen (Rob) Robinson; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt and uncle, Margaret and John Losey.

John’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services observed.  Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A comforting message may be sent to the funeral home at
