Larry L. Schoenian

Larry L. Schoenian, 81 of Glouster passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at Kimes Convalescent Center, Athens.  Born February 22, 1937 in Trimble, he was the son of the late Lewis and Elsie Grinstead Schoenian.  He formerly worked at Meigs Mine #31 and later retired from Trimble Local Schools.  He was a member of the Glouster Church of Christ, the Glouster Masonic Lodge #607, and the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Cambridge.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Faires Schoenian of Glouster; three daughters, Jody (Barney) Mayles, Lara (Jan) Hooper, and Erin Schoenian, all of Glouster; three grandchildren, Chastidy (Brian) Heller of Nelsonville, Phillip Richards of Flat Rock, MI, and Max Hooper of Glouster; two great grandchildren, Brian and Joscelyn Heller; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Larry Richards.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday March 15, 2018 at the Bishopville Church of Christ.  Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Contributions can be made to the Trimble Athletic Complex Improvement Fund, The Keith Trace Strength Building Foundation, or the Trimble Textbook and Supplies Foundation, all of which can be sent to First National Bank, c/o Sandy Gyure, PO Box 187, Glouster, Ohio 45732.
