John Crum, 54 of Athens passed away Thursday December 8, 2022, at his residence.  Born February 27, 1968, in Athens County, he was the son of the late John J. and Marilyn L. Hiles Crum.  John enjoyed doing his grocery shopping at Walmart.

He is survived by his sister, Sherry (Roger) Taylor of Athens; two nieces, Sarah Minturn and Rebekah (Keith) Harmon, both of Athens; two great-nieces, Taylor and Skylar Minturn; a great-nephew, Gunnar Harmon; a care provider and friend, Karen Lanning; and his Cockatoo, Joe.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Allen Crum.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Danny LeMaster officiating.  Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
