Rodney A. Quinn Jr., 56 of Athens, passed away Friday August 12, 2022, at his residence.  He was born June 5, 1966, in Huntington, WV.  Rod was self-employed as a bricklayer. He also worked as a mechanic for the Tire Shop in Millfield, sold firewood, and set mobile homes for a living.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his sons, Nigel (Amanda) Quinn of Athens, Raymond (Jazzma) Quinn of Glouster, and William Quinn of Amesville; two grandchildren, Isabella and Shawn; his parents, Rodney A. Sr. and Janet Quinn of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Shayne Quinn of Florida; a sister, Robin Byrd of Florida; his special friend and companion, Diane Neel and her sons and grandsons, Matthew, Christopher, and Nicholas (Olivia) Neel and Hesston and Bentley.

A memorial service will be held on at 11:00 am on Tuesday September 6, 2022 at the New Life Assembly Church, 11640 Upper River Rd., Athens, OH 45701, with the committal service to follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Rod's wishes were for all attending the memorial service to dress casually.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
